At present, thermal interface materials used in automotive thermal management systems include thermal conductive silicone pads, thermal conductive insulation sheets, thermal conductive sealing adhesives, and thermal conductive fillers. Among them, thermal conductive sealing adhesive is a widely used type of organic silicon thermal conductive sealing adhesive material in new energy electric vehicles, which can form a flexible, elastic and adhesive organic silicon elastomer through addition and curing reaction at room temperature. At the same time, it also has excellent electrical insulation properties. In the traditional automotive field, thermal conductive silicone sealing adhesives have been widely used in electronic power modules, high-frequency transformers, connectors, sensors, etc., providing thermal conductivity while also playing a role in insulation, filling, and protection. 

The reason why thermal conductive sealing adhesives can be used as heat dissipation materials is because they have a higher thermal conductivity than air. The thermal conductivity of air at 20°C is 0.0267W/(m.K), while thermal conductive sealing adhesives can obtain higher thermal conductivity through formula optimization, thereby transmitting the heat generated by electronic devices at a faster rate. 

This is like in hot summer, jumping into the water directly to cool down is obviously faster than blowing a fan, because water completely surrounds the human body, and compared to air with a very small thermal conductivity, heat can be transmitted faster from the body to the water- and the sealing adhesive is the process of filling the air space around the electronic device with a liquid polymer system (usually two components) (as shown in the dark blue part in the figure). 

Considering the actual working conditions of the motor, the sealing adhesive used needs to have high thermal conductivity, good fluidity, crack resistance, strong bonding force, etc., otherwise there will be difficulties in sealing and increasing the overall weight of the car, leading to excessive energy consumption of the car.
